Revolution

Alright, I have to admit, I'm a newbie in terms of celebrity fansites. I had no clue what I was doing, but luckily my friend, Chisato, became my little partner in crime and together we helped each other build our celebrity fansites! This really motivated me and I'm glad I built a site to one of my favorite singers! I was currently working on my other online projects at the time, but I'm glad I got to squeeze in a little time here and then for Revolution.

Now, what's up with the name!? Typically, when name-hunting, I'd get my handy thesaurus off my shelf and I would search up words that describe the subject. I could have named this site after one of Hikki's songs, but I wanted something different. So in the end, I ended up with revolution, which literally means, "a dramatic and wide-reaching change in the way something works or is organized or in people's ideas about it" -- my definition exactly when I describe Hikki's songs. Sure her music style is popular and probably not-so-different compared to other Japanese Pop music, but it sure is different back here in North America! (..and I'm not just stating the obvious which is the different language in terms of lyrics, but you get my drift, right?)

V2: Simple and Monochromatic

Version two of the site is currently featuring a magazine scan of Utada Hikaru, and since the design is so simple, it's called "Simple and Monochromatic" which is a parody of her track "Simple and Clean". I wanted to use a recent image of Utada Hikaru and this particular image interested me.

V1: Keep Tryin'

Version one of the site is currently featuring a promotional image scan of Utada Hikaru, and I decided to call the layout after the single in which the photo is from, "Keep Tryin'." It's a really cute, bright and jolly photo of hers and I decided to work with colors right off her outfit.
